Getting to Westgate is easy
In order to reduce congestion and pollution, Oxfordshire County Council will be introducing a temporary congestion charge from Wednesday 29th October. This means cars without permits will need to pay £5 per day to drive through the six congestion charge locations. Luckily, getting to Westgate Oxford by Park & Ride is an easy and cost-effective alternative. Read on to discover their great ticket prices and kids go free offers! Park and Ride offer
Oxfordshire County Council is providing free Park and Ride bus journeys in Oxford for three months from 29th October 2025, when the city’s temporary congestion charge scheme starts.
Up to two adults and three children with a valid Park and Ride parking ticket will be able to claim free travel to and from Park and Ride sites in the city. The tickets will be valid on any Stagecoach or Oxford Bus Company bus that visits an Oxford Park and Ride site, not just named Park and Ride services.

Combined Park & Ride tickets
Fares shown include parking for up to 16 hours at the Park & Ride site and bus travel to Oxford city centre. Available to purchase from the machine at the Park & Ride site or the RingGo app.
Valid for one return journey to/from any Park & Ride site. Tickets for additional passengers can be purchased from the driver or on the Oxford Bus Company mobile app. If you are staying for longer, please pay for your parking seperately and buy your bus ticket directly from the driver or the mobile app.
You can purchase a combined Park + Bus ticket from the machines on site. The cost is £5 for car parking and bus travel for two adults.

Kids go free!
Up to three children under the age of 16 can travel free on the Park & Ride services when accompanied by a fare-paying adult, or two adults travelling together with a 2-to-go ticket, on services 300 & 400 between a Park & Ride car park and the city centre.
