Job description
You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef. You will assist in supervising your team and coordinating the delivery of high quality food, in a busy and fast paced kitchen environment. You will have enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge in the kitchen as well as the people around you.
As a Junior Sous Chef at Six by Nico, you will:
- Have the ability to control and oversee the seasoning, portioning and appearance of the food served.
- Demonstrate and promote teamwork within the kitchen and front of house.
- Excellent communication and the ability to lead and also work well with others.
- Have a good knowledge & understanding on food, modern food preparation techniques and food safety.
- Be committed to delivering first class service.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to multitask.
- Have good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Experience
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in professional kitchens.
- Demonstrated potential for leadership, including ability to supervise kitchen staff.
- Experience in executing dishes according to established recipes and standard.
